It started at sixteen, with a game server. I ran it, hosted tournaments, kept the community in order and built the site that held it all together. And every night the same ritual: someone got banned, someone begged to be let back in — and every request landed on me, one by one, at all hours. So I did the obvious, lazy thing: I wrote a system that handled it without me. The server ran itself, my evenings came back, and one idea stuck for good: if work repeats, it can be programmed.

Then — eleven years in industry: factories, hotels, hospitals. I installed automation and dosing systems, and programmed large industrial lines — processes defined down to the gram, the step, the second. I measured everything live and kept tuning until failures nearly disappeared. The end state was always the same: the operator has one move left — walk up and press start. Everything else happens on its own.

When AI arrived, the ceiling lifted again. It became clear how to connect separate processes into one whole — and how much a single person can build once routine is handed over to machines. I live by the same principle at home: dozens of devices from different manufacturers, each with its own app, wired into one control centre that thinks for itself.

I build tools for work too: a CRM used daily by salespeople across the Baltics; invoicing and accounting automation; a knowledge base that answers tax questions with sources; real-time equipment monitoring. None of these systems were commissioned — all of them were born from a real need, and all of them still run.
